#DIGGER Tom Cruise reaction GIF
@rogers_jamieReactions are rolling in for DIGGER after WB lifted the social media embargo, and the split is real. AlejandroGIñárritu's new dark comedy has TomCruise in the lead, and some viewers are calling his work here his best since Magnolia, award-worthy territory. The craft side is getting love too, with production described as inventive and high-end. People are also pointing at how current the themes feel, and the plot twists are being called audacious, unpredictable, daring, the kind of thing that raises the bar for what a dark comedy can do. Then there's the other side. Some critics find the whole thing overblown, with few performances that stand out, and the narrative gets tagged as messy and self-indulgent. Others are calling it a misfire, big bold ideas that just didn't land, messages without much depth, and characters you can't really connect with or care about. Sounds like one of those releases that's going to be debated for a while. DIGGERS arrives OCT 02, and the full review embargo lifts next week.
