@jolyonArmenia is officially dropping the term strategic partner when referring to Russia. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan confirmed that specific label will not appear in the new government plan, citing events from 2022 as the driving reason. During the conflict with Azerbaijan, both Russia and the Russian-led CSTO were expected to provide assistance, but Yerevan states they failed to do so. Pashinyan argues it becomes impossible to maintain the strategic partner designation when the alliance did not function during the critical moment it was required. Although Armenia continues to seek relations with Moscow, the era of being a strategic ally appears effectively finished. Source: Liga / Writer: Daniyal
