@fightdeskMarvel's Wolverine Review [Spoiler Free] Here's the best way I can describe this game If you enjoyed Spider-Man 2 Story, the combat from God of War games with that cool Spartan Rage mechanic including some boss fights here and there, then I think you will most likely enjoy this game too. For me personally, the story itself didn't click with me and although the gameplay is quite polished with fluid combat that has some awesome brutal finishers, it falls short on repeating the same formula throughout most of the game (especially during the final act) You get one cutscene, tons of enemies spawn to deal with, then you move to another level where tons of enemies spawn again which end with a cutscene. Rinse and repeat until you reach a boss fight I don't want to sound like I'm nitpicking but it honestly felt a bit too repetitive and predictive for me and at one point I got tired of doing the same task. Thankfully the game has chase missions which were awesome and action sequences too. The puzzles (if you could even call them that) are environmental are super simple and don't require any logical thought from the player to solve them. I won't go much further into the hand-holding that this game has because it is already known how much of that this game already has, except for one thing that it bugs me the most; how can a rated M game feel like its designed for audiences that are much younger than the average gamer playing this? Its completely okay if these were accessibility settings that can be turned off, but you can't. These are deeply imbedded into the game itself as Logan can visually hear and smell the clues, but even when the blue scent doesn't show up (its not on for the entire game), Insomniac makes sure that you don't lose your way by adding white or yellow paint throughout the areas and some occasional self-talk from Logan to tell the player what to do next. Nightmare trials were disappointing too, you either have combat or parkour related trials which don't include any special cutscenes at the end except for small memories that Logan reads To put it short, Wolverine is a good game and that's about it. I had some fun moments playing it, but when I expected more. That does not mean that I'm jumping to a hate wagon or coordinated attack against Insomniac, this is my subjective opinion on it. Your experience playing this game may be entirely different Is it worth $70 price tag? No, if it ever goes on a sale for $50 then yes this would definitely be a great buy and I'd definitely recommend it if you want to have a great time, however for a AAA game, it felt like Insomniac sadly played it extremely safe with this entire game, especially with the story. Final Score: 6/10

The focus is on a heavily bloodied Wolverine character in mid-attack. He is lunging forward, roaring with his adamantium claws extended, and appears to be dismembering another figure whose head is exploding in a spray of blood. The mood is violent and intense, with a dark, gritty aesthetic. The Wolverine's tattered costume and the graphic depiction of violence are visually notable.
