Low-key hoping this lands in the ducktales 2014 continuity so we can actually finish that arc instead of just getting a generic reboot where jim gets benched for other roles, which would at least be a bittersweet victory if he still gets to show up as something else even if it isn't darkwing.

Jim Cummings confirmed he will not be voicing the character Darkwing Duck in the new series since they are hiring somebody else to be Darkwing Duck. He called the situation crazy and stated that he hopes the producers get everything they deserve.
