According to Sir Alex Ferguson in one of his published books, he prefers not to offer criticism of any athletes who featured for him while he managed at United. Still he identified only four performers as truly world class. They were Cantona, Giggs, Ronaldo and Scholes. Out of those four he singled out Cristiano by comparing him to the decorative topper on a holiday evergreen and labeled him a genius.
