    Switzerland Economic Stability 2000-2023

According to the U.S. News and World Report Global Best Countries Index, along with the World Bank World Development Indicators, Switzerland held the title of the most economically stable country every single year from 2000 through 2023. That is a remarkable 24-year streak of consistent performance in the economic stability sub-metric. The run finally came to an end in 2024, when the United Arab Emirates took over the top spot. The UAE looks set to hold that position for the next few years as well, with projections showing it leading in 2025 and 2026. This data highlights just how steady Switzerland has been in global economic assessments over more than two decades before the shift occurred.
