England's World Cup history is a mix of early absences, early exits, and one glorious triumph. They didn't enter the tournament in 1930, 1934, or 1938. In 1950 and 1958 they fell in the group stage, and in 1954 and 1962 they were eliminated in the quarter-finals. The highlight came in 1966, when they won the title. After that, they reached the quarter-finals again in 1970 but have not gone further since. Their 1974 campaign ended in a qualifying failure. #England #Football
