Marco Materazzi says he never saw Zidane's reaction coming in that moment. He was actually glad the whole thing caught him off guard, because if he'd been ready for it, he's convinced they both would've been sent off. Materazzi had scored France's goal in the first half, and coach Marcello Lippi told him to mark Zidane. After their first clash, he apologized, but Zidane didn't take it well. The bad blood kept going until the 110th minute, when it finally snapped. After the third collision, Materazzi frowned, and Zidane said he'd give him his shirt after the match. Materazzi replied he'd rather have Zidane's sister than his shirt.
