Gareth Bale on Messi and Ronaldo

Gareth Bale is fed up with being overlooked. He says without injuries he’d be in the Messi-Ronaldo conversation. At Real Madrid he was the best finisher and free-kick taker in training, but Cristiano Ronaldo took all the dead balls except corners despite Bale’s higher scoring rate. He pointed to the Champions League final against Atlético Madrid, two minutes from defeat, he rescued it and they won 4-1, yet that contribution got swept aside. And his bicycle kick against Liverpool? The greatest Champions League goal ever, but he reckons nobody will admit it because his name is Gareth Bale.
