A live-action NARUTO film is in the works with Destin Daniel Cretton directing. Lionsgate is adapting Masashi Kishimoto's manga, and production is targeted for the first half of 2027. Cretton signed on to write and direct back in February 2024, that was months before he took on SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY.
