Iran Strait of Hormuz IRGC stance

Tehran is clear it won't sit down directly with the US, and it isn't restarting negotiations while it believes Washington is violating the June ceasefire memorandum. Indirect messages are still passing through intermediaries, but that's as far as it goes. The IRGC has made the Strait of Hormuz a pressure point, they're keeping it restricted until the US accepts all of Iran's conditions. Their own framing was blunt, calling Hormuz "a theatre of war for us and not just a waterway." Meanwhile Iran says its agreement with Oman on future shipping lanes is nearly wrapped up, but that doesn't change the standoff over the strait. Washington wants freedom of navigation restored, Iran wants concessions first, so the waterway stays a bargaining chip. Reuters had the details #Reuters
