The WB curse might be too strong even for SandraBullock, but her movie star power still re-heated her nachos, as PracticalMagic2 grossed in one day almost 1998 PracticalMagic’s entire 13.1M 3-day weekend at US BoxOffice! The spooky comedy sequel also starring NicoleKidman grossed STRONG 13M on FRI Opening Day, including 4.7M on THU Previews (vs WutheringHeights’ 10.8M, MeanGirls’ 11.5M, TheLostCity’s 11.5M, TheProposal’s 12.7M, JungleCruise’s 13.5M) Eyeing a 30M-35M 3-day opening weekend, way below industry’s 40M-50M projections, but still strong for the genre - and definitely stronger considering the original’s performance back in the day. And still one of the biggest debuts in both actresses’ careers.
