Universal's never had a release do $1.7 billion worldwide until yesterday, and the one that got there is Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey. Overseas alone it's sitting at $1.1 billion, a number UniversalPics had never touched before. First time in studio history on both counts, which is wild when you think about how many franchises have come through there.
