Marfan syndrome alters connective tissue, a condition previously unrecorded in house cats until Gary and Shaggy were documented as the first cases. Gary lived for 5 years despite challenges associated with the condition, while Shaggy reached 7 years. Their survival was attributed to owners who remained committed through every hurdle.
