Chandika Shrestha rescued in Nepal

A 64-year-old woman in Nepal is alive after being trapped for 10 days when an avalanche of ice, rock, and mud tore through a Himalayan valley. Chandika Shrestha was found on the fourth floor of her partially buried house in Nuwakot district. Rescuers gave her water right after pulling her out, then a helicopter flew her to a Kathmandu hospital for care.
