Metallica Beat It VMA Tribute

بواسطة Zimmermann 054: Michael Jackson

The Four Horsemen closed out the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards with a heavy metal cover of Michael Jackson's "Beat It" that served as a direct tribute following his humiliation by MTV at the previous year's show. Jack Black had already made jokes about that 2002 situation before Metallica took the stage to deliver a version featuring no vocals, just riffs and thunder. This full throttle assault on the classic track turned expectations into something that landed harder than anyone anticipated.
