Am I Okay?

Megan Moroney returned to the studio with her sophomore effort Am I Okay?, releasing the project on July 12, 2024, through Sony Music Nashville and Columbia Records. This fourteen-track collection serves as a direct follow-up to her 2023 debut Lucky, diving deeper into the chaotic transition of early adulthood. The record captures the specific turbulence of being in one's twenties, weaving together stories about friendship, romantic confusion, and the difficult process of self-discovery without sugarcoating the messy realities involved.

Sonically, the album bridges the gap between traditional country storytelling and modern pop sensibilities. Producer Kristian Bush guided the sessions to blend classic steel guitar tones and acoustic strumming with crisp snare beats and occasional punk-pop energy. The visual identity for the era often leans on royal blue, a color choice that mirrors the album's emotional duality of strength and sadness. Every song on the standard edition was written or co-written by Moroney herself, ensuring a consistent personal voice throughout the runtime of 45 minutes and 44 seconds. [تعديل]
