FDO

On December 12, 2025, Pooh Shiesty returned to the music scene with a single titled "FDO" after serving roughly five years in federal prison. The Memphis rapper, born Lontrell Donell Williams Jr., released the track through Atlantic Records, 1017 Records, and Choppa Gang Enterprises. The song serves as his first official release since incarceration and immediately became his highest-charting solo effort to date.

The title stands for "First Day Out," a phrase that has become shorthand in hip-hop for an artist's return from behind bars. Complex magazine described the track as "2026's First Big Rap Hit" and noted its structure as a deliberate act of defiance. Unlike typical comeback singles that rely on radio-friendly hooks, this track runs 5:03 without one. TP808 produced the gritty Memphis rap and trap record, which features Shiesty reflecting on his time away while referencing his past collaboration with Lil Durk on "Back in Blood." A press release from his management framed the song as the start of a new era driven by hunger and focus.

Critics and fans alike responded quickly to the unconventional length and raw delivery. The song debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart dated December 27, 2025. It later peaked at number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 in January 2026. An accompanying music video directed by @cotto0verdidit hit YouTube on the same day as the single and accumulated 4 million views within 48 hours. Following the release, Shiesty began collaborating with artists like GloRilla, signaling a full-scale revival of his career. [تعديل]
