Petal

Ariana Grande released her eighth studio album, Petal, on July 31, 2026, through Republic Records and her own imprint, Babydoll Music. Recorded between January and April 2026 at Jungle City Studios in New York alongside facilities in Los Angeles and Stockholm, the project features Grande as executive producer with Ilya Salmanzadeh. Max Martin contributed significantly to the production duties during these sessions.

The album spans a runtime of 36 minutes and 8 seconds across twelve tracks, blending short interludes with pop anthems. Visually, the cover art displays a black-and-white close-up of Grande smiling without her signature ponytail, with brunette hair partially obscuring her face. An exclusive vinyl pressing titled Cloudy Gray Girl was also released alongside standard formats including CD, LP, digital download, and cassette.

Grande described the sound as raw and introspective, characterizing it as "a little feral" while exploring emotional territory she had previously avoided. Critical outlets like Vogue HK highlighted the lyrical depth upon release, noting the departure from her earlier polished pop sound toward a grittier aesthetic. The musical style is categorized primarily as Pop but incorporates elements of alternative R&B and experimental pop. [تعديل]
